Letting support read your data

When you report a problem from inside your company, you can let Tenacap support read the company data you can see, so we can answer with your actual numbers in front of us.

The box on the report form

Provide feedback, Ask us to look at this and Fix it for me each show a box when you are inside a company. It is not ticked unless you tick it, and your report goes through either way. It reads:

Let Tenacap support read Your Company’s data that I can see, to answer this report. Access ends in 7 days, every read is logged and emailed to me, and I can turn it off at any time on the Support access page. Anthropic, which runs our investigation, may keep what it reads for up to 30 days.

Leaving it unticked is fine. If we need the data to answer, we will ask you by reply.

What it allows

  • One company, one report. Access covers the company you filed from, for answering that report. Each report has its own permission.
  • Only what you can see. Support reads as you, through the same checks your own pages use. An admin’s report can show the whole cap table; an employee’s report shows only their own grants and vesting. If your role changes, the narrower one applies; if you leave the company, access ends.
  • 7 days. Access ends 7 days after you file. After that we ask again.
  • Never: email addresses, tax IDs, street addresses, phone numbers, documents, signatures or bank details. They are removed before anything is read.
  • Only when needed. Nothing is copied when you file. Support reads the data only if a report cannot be answered without it, and a person at Tenacap starts every read.

Turning it off

Open Support access in the left menu, under Accounts. It lists the access you have granted on that company, when each ends and how many times it was used, with a Turn off button. A company admin sees everyone’s and can turn any of them off. Turning it off takes effect at once. A read already made cannot be recalled.

Granting and turning off are both recorded in the company’s Change log under Settings. An assistant connected to Tenacap can list your grants and propose turning one off; you confirm it in the app.

Who sees what is read

Tenacap support, and the AI investigator we use to look into reports, which runs on Anthropic. Anthropic processes what the investigator reads on our behalf and may keep it for up to 30 days under its standard API retention. When Anthropic agrees to keep none of it, we will switch to that and update this page and the box. See Privacy.

Every read is logged on the company and emailed to the person who granted it.

Where this stands

We are building this in stages. Today the box records your permission, and you can see and turn it off. Nothing reads company data under it yet; when that starts, each read is logged and emailed to you as described above.
